WILDLIFE AND BIRD WATCHING

Try bird watching to see osprey and bald eagles as they catch "the one that got away" from the angler in the boat. The best time to look for nesting eagles is in the fall and winter months, along with geese, ducks, pelicans, hawks and numerous other species. Less frequently observed wildlife are fox, bobcat, mountain lion, and snakes. You can learn about the lake's wildlife and history at the Bureau of Reclamation Visitors Center.
